Two Minutes…

The Doctor was confused. He was flat on his back, staring at the roof of something and there was something squeezing his hand. His head felt fuzzy and he couldn't hear thing properly, like you were supposed to be able to hear them, but it was his thoughts that hurt him most. They stabbed at him like knives to a defenceless child, piercing his otherwise painless body with almost agony he was too exhausted to express. Then, finally, his senses arrived back to him. All around him he heard the scared cries of his friends as the fires raged around them, his body burst into pain that took over the pain in his mind. His strength managed to come back to him and he pulled himself up. The group he was with looked at him, panic clear in their eyes as he spotted the bomb.

5 minutes.

Plenty of time. But then she appeared. A white dress hung loosely off her petit frame as ribbon was wound around her arms and her wrists. Blonde hair waved around her face as she stood in front of him, back to his weak body as a double, but in black with black hair stood opposite her. The opposite girl glanced at the Doctor and grinned mischievously, a flick of her hand and the Doctor felt agonising pain shooting through him as the dark girl puppeteered him through her will.

The girl in white was trying to release the dark girls hold on the Time-Lord but was only hurting him further. The Doctor managed a glance at the bomb.

3 minutes.

From the corner of his eye, he saw Jack launch himself at the dark girl and tackle her to the ground, The Doctor falling limply to the floor as the white girl stumbled, raising her hand over the Doctor as a golden light flowed into him. He felt energy rush into his veins and he forced himself onto his hunches, catching the girl as she crumpled to the ground. Another glance at the bomb told him he had 2 minutes.

Time to get to work.

The Doctor rolled up his sleeves and knelt in front of the bomb, knowing that one wrong move could prove fatal. He ignored the scuffing from behind him of the dark woman and jack as they fought to get to him, he felt Donna's hand on his back as she meant to comfort him, only adding to his worry of his promise. Not to mention that they were under a petrol station, one that had just had a full delivery of petrol. Enough to wipe Cardiff of the face of the U.K.

1 Minute 30 seconds.

The Doctor was almost faint when he found the right cable, amidst the other jumble of wires and cables, the Doctor had found an unusual array of strange wires that had confused him in his job. Jack had finally managed to knock the dark girl out as the Doctor searched for something sharp to cut the wire. He turned to Donna, Desperately looking for something but she didn't have anything. Jack pulled out a small army knife and quickly handed it to him.

30 seconds.

The Doctor managed to open the knife and start cutting through the wire. It was never as easy as they made out in the movies. He was halfway through it at 10 seconds. He looked up in dismay, telling Donna and Jack to take cover. The Doctor had almost snapped it when he changed his mind and yanked the red one out the device.

1 second.

Jack and Donna were hugging each other, both waiting for an explosion, readying themselves the best they could for disintegration. So they were startled as the Doctor's face appeared over the broken metal door they were hid behind. The Doctor grinned as Jack and Donna realised they were still holding on to each other and let go as the Doctor straightened up.

"Just gonna pass out for a while…" and he promptly collapsed in a heap on the floor. Donna ran to his side as Jack picked up the bomb and turned it in his hands.

0.021 milliseconds were remaining.

"God he cuts it close."
