Chapter 1
Mario's POV:
"Are you sure this will work Gadd?" I asked as me and my brother was watching the professor working on his newest gadget. "Honestly I don't know yet, that's why I asked you two to help me test it." He responded casually while checking some final details. "That doesn't sound reassuring; I've never been to an alternate dimension before." Luigi said in a nervous sweat.
Gadd looked up from his now completed machine to meet Luigi in the eye "Don't worry, you still have my Dual Scream. If anything goes wrong just contact me and I'll get you out of there." He explained. He then started up the machine and opened the dimensional portal. We took a deep breath and jumped into the portal.
We landed in a barren landscape with dark clouds covering the sky. Even though there wasn't any lava, it didn't take me long to find out where we were. "Luigi, don't panic, but I think we are in Dark Land." I whispered, before another voice caught me by surprise "nothing gets past your skills of deduction, pasta lover!" the voice exclaimed sarcastically.
Just then we saw a large green koopa with a spiked shell and horns, wearing a crown on his head. "Bowser?" I wondered out loud, noticing the vague resemblance. "That's King Koopa to you, faucet face!" He responded angrily as he snapped his clawed fingers. We soon found ourselves surrounded by dry bones, bob-ombs, and koopa troopas. "Take these intruders to the dungeon." King Koopa ordered.
