Kairi was sitting on the overhanging branch of the Paopu tree, staring out at the sinking sun. She was beginning to wonder where on earth Sora and Riku were, they had left for ice cream over an hour ago. Finally! she thought to herself when she heard the crunching of sand behind her. Kairi grinned and turned around. She let out a gasp in shock when it wasn't Sora, or Riku, or even anyone that knew in the islands. Instead, it was a boy, about the same age as her, if not a year old. He was wearing a black cloak with the hood down. His hair was a kind of blue color that Kairi swore couldn't be natural, but it didn't have the flat look of being dyed. And his eyes! or eye, the entire left side of his face was covered in his hair; they were the most piercing color of blue! Kairi couldn't stop taking his presence in.
Zexion was also taken aback by the person in front of him. He had heard and studied about the Princess who took homage in Destiny Islands, but to meet her in person! Zexion had a weird feeling inside of his chest, but he dismissed it for nothing, knowing that nothing was in there. He hoped that his illusion would hold the two boys for a while, he wanted to know more of this girl. But no! He cannot take her back! But failure is unspeakable! Compose yourself VI! She is just another girl! Complete this mission!
Kairi blinked several times to convince herself that this bluenette in front of her actually existed, she finally manages to focus herself enough to speak. "W-who are you?" she asks. Zexion pulls himself from Kairi's deep oceanic eyes and blushes, then shakes his head to pull himself together, "My name is of no importance." Kairi frowns a little bit and takes his hand, causing Zexion to blush an even deeper shade of red. "To me it is," she then leans forward into him, hugging him. For one split second he felt that there was a heart somewhere, deep inside of him.
Zexion knew that he would never be able to complete this mission.
