Greetings! I blame this one entirely on Scoobyice8. After last night's episode, so spoilers, I got to thinking... what happens next? I found I just had to write this one out! I couldn't get it out of my head! Comments welcomed! Not mine and I make no monies from this! Thanks again! - CT
It was late at night and Barry was getting ready to call it a day. He was finishing up in the lab when the security alarm went off for S.T.A.R. labs. Frowning, Barry sent a quick text to the rest of the team and then zipped over to the lab. It was dark but some of the lights activated at Barry's movement. Scanning rapidly, he didn't find anyone on the first few levels. He made it to the cortex without finding anyone. Sighing, he ran a hand through his hair as he paced the cortex. They couldn't have gotten any deeper? Could they?
"Hey," Cisco said, jogging into the cortex. Barry had spent a few minutes pacing, wondering where the intruder was. "Got your text."
"You responded fast," Barry noted.
"Hadn't gone home. Caitlin and I were staying trying to stabilize Professor Stein," Cisco said, pointing in the direction of the treatment room.
"Barry," Jay Garrick said as he entered the cortex. "I got your message. I was barely in my front door. Who's the intruder?"
"Not sure," Barry said. "I searched the upper levels but didn't find anyone."
"That means they're lower down," Cisco said. Going to the computers he started pulling up the security camera feed. While he was working Caitlin entered as well.
"Professor Stein is stable for now," Caitlin said as she took in the serious faces on the team.
"That's good," Barry said. "Wait, there, go back," the speedster ordered Cisco, seeing something on the security cameras. "Oh my god, someone came in through the speed cannon."
"Zoom?" Jay was immediately on edge.
"Doesn't look like they were moving very fast," Cisco said. "Not sure why the feed gets all messed up. Maybe excessive energy output."
"Looks like we need to go investigate," Jay stated.
"Right," Barry agreed with a nod. Together the group headed towards the pipeline and the speed cannon. As they moved Caitlin periodically checked her phone. She had Professor Stein's vitals readout being sent to an app Cisco had installed for her.
"Stop," Jay ordered. "There's someone up ahead." They stopped, all straining their ears. "I'll go check it out."
"Shouldn't I go?" Barry countered.
"I should be okay. It might be someone I know," Jay assured him. Going around the corner, Jay stalked forwards. Silence followed and then if they listened closely they could hear a gentle rustle.
"Jay," Barry called out. "Did you find anyone?" Cautiously, the remaining trio crept forwards.
Rounding the corner they all stopped in their tracks. "I think that's a yes. He found someone," Cisco observed, blinking. There, three feet in front of them, Jay was passionately kissing another man. The new comer had dark hair and seemed perfectly fine with the exchange of kisses. The two men's hands were roaming over one another's body leaving the trio with practically no need for imaginations.
"Damn," Cisco said.
"Wow," Caitlin said, stunned. "I had no idea."
"Jay," Barry called out. The couple continued to kiss. "Jay!" Barry shouted louder. It seemed to get through this time as Jay and the other man paused, their hands freezing mid-rove, Jay's having slipped between the shirt and skin.
"Oh. My. God," Cisco managed.
"Uhm, Barry, Caitlin, Cisco, allow me to introduce my husband, Harrison Wells," Jay said, blushing brightly. Licking his lips, Harrison waved a hand.
"Hello." The trio stared, stunned.
