When Valerie Reyes was finally released out of detainment babysitting for SHIELD was not the job she was looking for however saying no is not an option. Danger awaits her in the land of Asgard and her days of detainment are slowly catching up to her. Will she survive this mission or perish in the midst? Is there truly no one whom she can trust?

15th April 20XX

18:00 hrs

SHIELD HQ

"This way please gentlemen" politely ordered the voice of Nick Fury as he led the group of scientists across the maze of the steel grey walls of the SHIELD headquarters' underground prison. Guards moved aside as they let the group pass and move forward towards the isolation bloc where the latest addition to the prisons was kept.

The white coats fluttered around the white detainment cell, some closing in for a better view through the slightly foggy glass. A shrill sound indicated that the subject or prisoner in this case was awake. Scribbling down their notations in their notepads they assessed the subject for any signs of abnormalities in "awakening". Satisfied with the looks of it one of the scientists turned towards Fury and asked "This is quite an interesting specimen that you have got here. I've never seen anything even remotely similar to this before!"

"Yes, however it is her energy radiations that worry me quite a bit. They seem quite unstable thereby making her more unpredictable" added an older scientist with greying hair.

Fury turned around to address the group "Gentlemen, we arrested the subject 2 weeks ago from downtown New York. She was known as Valerie Reyes or the Black Menace. Though it is of little consequence now, I want you to study her unique composition and find out more about her powers. She can prove to be a great asset to SHIELD."

The glint in the eyes of the black haired scientist, Dr Crane slightly perturbed Fury but he quickly squashed it down. This was no time for going soft, SHIELD had to get stronger and he would ensure that it did.
