A/N: This is a long overdo fanfiction that i've had in my mind forever and am just now writing. I hate to be the person that posts an extremely short prologue but I felt this eating away at me. I felt like if I didn't expose it in some way shape or form I might go a bit mad. So without anymore ranting from a sad crenny fangirl, here is a prologue into this little thing. Skylar is going to help me write an outline, so there will be more.
Had it not been for the phone call the day ended with, Craig wouldn't have thought much into the events leading up to it. It was as average as it could have been, honestly. Leather boots squeaked as they pressed against the tiled floor of the practice he worked in, damp from the snow on the ground outside that morning.
He was employed in a veterinary clinic and it was cold even without the winter weather. The day proceeded with Craig's patients complaining about it, which he mostly nodded his head to as he examined their pet. The snow was mild, a few inches. While in his hometown it was blanket piled upon blanket of white, cold fluff.
It was a fleeting thought at the time, as Craig injected the dog he was tending to with the vaccines they needed. It's brought to the forefront of his mind now as he presses the 'end' button to the call his sister and he were in. Craig gingerly places his cellphone down and examines his neat, orderly studio apartment. He's living in some town in long island, new york. It's busy, but Craig maintains a pretty quiet life despite this. It's plain, boring. Average and safe. No crazy trips to peru or the moon and shit.
'She's ill' his sisters words echo in his mind, and Craig knows now that he has to return to that snow smothered mountain town.
