Humphrey woke up to the sound of his alarm clock. "The day begins." Humphrey said sarcastically as he got out of bed, took a shower, changed clothes, and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. when he was done with breakfast he sat at the table and began to eat then a black wolf with a white under belly walked down the stairs. "Hey bro." Humphrey said

"Well, your up early." Trenton said.

"Yeah so what" Humphrey said

"Well by the looks of yourself, i'd say you want to impress someone." Trenton said raisin a brow. "perhaps a girl?"

Humphrey blushed and looked down at his food. "I'm taken that as a yes." Trenton said with a smile.

"Of course I want to impress her." Humphrey said still blushing.

"You mean Kate, right?" Trenton asked.

"Okay you caught me, now will you shut up and just eat your breakfast we have to get going to school in 20 minutes." Humphrey said annoyed with his brother.

"Gosh, I'm just teasing." he said as he sat down next to Humphrey and began to eat. "Honestly, I think you should just fold your cards before you lose every penny you got."

"Your using poker analogies now." Humphrey grunted in annoyance. "What are you, fifty?"

"In my heart of hearts, I like to think of myself as being fifty-three" Trenton said

"Why fifty-three?" Humphrey asked

"Because, women aren't into people who are fifty-four." Trenton said with a wave of his fork. "Everyone knows that."

"Your an idiot." Humphrey deadpanned.

"Thanks, I try my hardest." Trenton said with a tired smile.

"Whatever, i'm going to go get ready." Humphrey said as he stood up, and put his dishes in the sink. "have fun talking to yourself."

"Jokes on you, I like talking to myself." Trenton said triumphantly. "I'm a very good listener."

After that Humphrey did his hair and went back down stairs to meet up with Trenton.

"Wow, you actually fixed up your hair." Trenton said causing Humphrey to blush again "your hair usually looks like a dead cat with mange."

"Your hilarious." Humphrey said sarcastically.

"Did you take those antipsychotic pill things?" Trenton asked.

"Um, yeah." Humphrey lied. "I did it right after I woke up."

"Its hard to lie to others," Trenton said with a sigh. "But its even harder to lie to yourself."

"W-whatever." Humphrey stuttered. "Come on, your going to make me late."

they walked outside to their piece of junk car, Trenton got in the passenger side and Humphrey got in the driver side. Humphrey cranked the car and started to drive to school. They pulled into the school parking lot, proceeded to park, got out of their car, and walked to the entrance "hey bro, I have to go to the bathroom." Trenton said.

"Okay." Humphrey said and Trenton ran off to the bathroom.

Humphrey walked to his locker and was met by his friends Mooch, Salty, and Shakey. "hey guys. what's up?" Humphrey asked.

"Wow, I haven't seen you this dressed up since you came over for my sisters Quinceanera." Salty said.

"Your not Spanish." Humphrey pointed out. "Also, you don't have a sister."

"That's not important." Salty said dismissively. "You need to get more sleep man. you look like your dead on your feet."

"I'm sleeping fine." Humphrey muttered.

just then Humphrey saw Kate walk down the hallway. Garth a strong and mean looking wolf who was, also the most popular boy in school, walked up to Kate and gave her a big hug. Humphrey's friends seen this and patted Humphrey on the back.

"It's okay pal." Salty said.

"Yeah, at least you still got us." Shaky said.

"Wolf pile!" Mooch yelled as they all dived on top of Humphrey.

"Ah!" Humphrey exclaimed. "Come on guys, get off me!"
