Blood stained the floor. A scary sight played out in front of them.
A dead body laid right behind him. Unconscious.
The deadly scent intoxicated their lungs.
A familiar victim shown in front of them, lifeless. Many times the victim had done horrendous acts. Unforgiving, at some times. But he had not deserved such a disastrous fate.
He stood still for a second, recovering all he had done.
One small girl had tears in her eyes. She couldn't have believed one could do such a thing. Friend or foe.
"Amy."
He reached out his hand towards the girl, but she had slapped it away and took off.
He slowly watched the irony slap him across the face. He could only stand still.
She was heartbroken.
"Sonic?"
He slowly turned to face his red friend.
"Was this you?"
The echidna was looking directly at his blood stained gloves.
"I can-"
"No."
He pushed the hedgehog out of the way, forcefully, and he too had taken off in a small sprint.
He was scarred.
The blue hedgehog had turned around to face his fox friend.
He stood still. Terrified written across his face. He seemed paralyzed. Horrified.
He knew that this young cub had seen him as a role model. A brother. And he had shown him something so unforgivable.
He was hurt.
The hedgehog had fallen to his knees now, and had fell to the act of something he had committed himself to not do.
He let the hot tears fall down his muzzle. Wet streaks slipping down his face. He was crying.
If there was something he had learned since the murderous act had been committed, it was that all his friends had something in common now.
Fear.
