Dear Diary
Why does Justin Fitzgerald have to shut me out? I want to be able to talk to him without either getting a door slammed in my face or him storming off. Don't get me wrong he's probably a nice guy deep down. If only he would show it. It's not my fault his Dad walked out on him and his brother Leo. I've tried to be nice to him. Floyd hates him but I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyway I best go and get some breakfast before Floyd eats it all.
Tiffany Westbrook
Tiffany closed her diary and put it under her pillow grabbing her school bag as she did. She walked downstairs into the kitchen.
"Morning everyone" Tiffany said cheerfully.
Tiffany scanned the room looking for Justin but he wasn't there. She sighed to herself and sat at the table with Leo.
"Leo have you seen Justin this morning" Vaughan asked his youngest son.
"Yeah he left for school a while ago. He didn't look very happy" Leo told his Dad.
Allie walked over to Vaughan and put her hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry love Justin just needs time" Allie said trying reassure Vaughan.
Later in the day Justin was being escorted to his Dad's office by Mr Reid. Sonya looked up from her desk and rolled her eyes at the sight of Justin as this wasn't the first time he'd been sent to his Dad's office. Sonya got up and knocked on Vaughan's door.
"Mr Fitzgerald I have Mr Reid and Justin for you" Sonya said while opening the door.
"Thank you Sonya" Vaughan turned to face his son. "What seems to be the problem Mr Reid" Vaughan asked.
"Well Justin here refuses to join in" Mr Reid said.
"Ok thank you Mr Reid I'll take it from here" Vaughan said and Hector walked out shutting the door behind him.
"Dad don't start I've already told you I don't want to be here" Justin said frustrated.
"Look son I know that but you have to try" Vaughan said.
Justin slumped onto the chair and crossed his arms.
Vaughan walked over to his desk and picked up a notebook and handed it to Justin. Justin looked at it confused.
"What's this" Justin asked.
"Justin you are clearly upset so I want you to write your feelings down in this notebook" Vaughan explained.
"No way Dad" Justin shouted.
"Just give it a try it might help" Vaughan said.
Later that evening Justin was in his room. He kept staring at the notebook his Dad gave him. Justin thought it was a stupid idea but grabbed a pen and the notebook and started writing.
I hate this. Why did my Dad walk out on Leo and me? What did we do to deserve that? I'll tell you what nothing we did nothing. I hate this place, I hate Dad's new girlfriend Allie. I hate her children Floyd and Tiffany. Actually Tiffany's alright I guess. She's the only one who's been nice to me. Even when I've been horrible to her she's still being nice. Plus she's cute, I love her smile. No Justin stop it you can't like Tiffany.
Justin stopped writing and started smiling to himself.
"If I get with Tiffany Allie will be angry and probably finish with Dad and we can go home and get back to normal" Justin thought to himself.
