Ok, so I havent updated any fan fics in awhile I know. Ive had a serious case of writers block. Im sorry to everyone whos been waiting for those updates. They'll eventually show up.
But while I was watching OOTP, an idea struck me. Ive not seen many of these around, but that makes it all the better.
What would you lot say to a fan fic contest? Nothing too difficult of course.
It would be three contests running at the same time.
The idea?
Fan Fic One: Must be set during the Marauders time. Whether it be that one of the Trio or their children time traveled, or its based on The Marauders themselves.
Rules:
No slashes. I'm going to be reading these and I dont really like reading slashes!
Length doesnt matter so long as its not a drabble.
Try to keep with canon characters as much as possible. I understand bit characters but nothing really large.
Fan Fic Two: Must be set during The Golden Trios time at Hogwarts. Anything and everything is welcome here. You basically have free reign with characters, plotlines and anything else you might think of.
Rules:
No slashes. same reason as above.
Length doesnt matter so long as its not a drabble.
You can add non canon characters once again, so long as their bit parts.
Fan Fic Three: This can be anything. you really do have free reign over everything. Whatever your heart fancies really! It can be a drabble, a one shot, a short story or anything else.
Rules:
No slashes. Reasons stated above.
Non canon characters welcome. The parts can be as large as you want.
you can have any length you want.
Crossovers are welcome!
And basic rules that apply to all three contests are simple.
Check your puncuation and grammar! Your story must be well written to be considered.
Try to keep profane language to a minimum. If its needed thats fine, but dont use it every other word! :]
See? Really simple but amazingly fun!
The winner cant receive cash money or anything like that, but I will feature the winner from each contest on my profile, with honorable mention to 2nd and 3rd place from each contest.
The deadline for all three contests will be April 30. All submissions must be in by then.
When you post your story, name it whatever you want but make sure you put "for EllaenchantedwithFreds fan fic contest" somewhere. Either in the story name or the summary bit.
When youve posted your story, make sure to PM me and let me know, so I can read it!
