Alphonse couldn't sleep if he wanted to. The rain outside seemed never ending; and he could hear the pitter-patter of the drops on every surface of the tiny apartment he shared with his brother. Munich was experiencing the most rain the city had ever seen, and sadly it reminded Alphonse of the storms in Resembool. If he thought hard enough, he could smell granny's old pipe and feel the warmness of the fire.

Edward on the other hand was calmed by the rain; even if his joints ached like hell. He has fallen asleep much faster than his younger brother. Alphonse guessed part of that was because of his joints. But the other part was quite simple; Edward went home in his dreams. Home wasn't just the walls they were familiar with. Home was her.

"Winry..." Alphonse heard his brother mumble, and watched Edward turn away to face the wall.

"I have always loved her... an' she knows that..." Edward whispered so faintly, the rain nearly drowned him out.
