Ino loved weddings, but most importantly she loved family weddings.
The blond kunoichi had her sights set on her cousin's Rukia upcoming wedding for months. What wasn't there to love about family weddings? Family weddings equaled huge orders of flowers (cha-ching!), endless supply of booze, dozens of good-looking men, sexy bachelorette parties and overly priced dresses (which Ino was proud to say that she was always able to weasel her way out of paying).
And so when her father tiredly mumbled that there was a change of plans and that Rukia and the family would be needing help, Ino was more than glad to hear the news. In fact, it was safe to say that Ino was delirious with excitement.
"So when are we going?" she asked, her blue eyes sparkling. She rested her elbows on the counter and cupped her chin in her hands, staring expectantly at her father.
Inoichi, on the other hand, didn't share Ino's passion for weddings. He sighed deeply.
"By the end of the month. They'll need help with...well with everything," he said as he glanced down at the furiously scrawled letter written by his sister. Inoichi could practically feel the desperation coming off of the page. His sister had given up explaining the situation midway through and simply finished the letter with HELP ME in red capital letters.
Ino squealed. Inoichi grimaced. He folded the letter into his back pocket and trudged along to the back of the shop, his arms filled with empty flower buckets.
"Don't get too excited, they already have a wedding planner," he warned over his shoulder, hoping to curb his daughter's over enthusiasm.
"Not for long," sang Ino cheerily, already planning the demise of the oblivious wedding planner.
"There's so much to prepare. Has Rukia even chosen her color scheme for the flowers? Does her selection even match the season? Who am I kidding? Of course not, it's Rukia," rattled Ino to herself.
The blond kunoichi unceremoniously shooed away the last of the customers, promising to provide them discounts on their next purchases. Humming to herself, she flipped the CLOSED sign by the front door of Yamanaka Flowers. Ino sat down by the front counter and furiously started jotting down ideas in her notebook.
Inoichi returned to the front of the store, hands full of alstromaria and delphimium, only to see that the customers gone. He gave his daughter a stern look.
"It wouldn't have hurt to wait a few minutes before telling them to leave-"
"I have been inspired. The Muse waits for no one," she declared dramatically, flipping her long blond hair before returning her attention to her notebook.
Inoichi rolled his eyes.
"This is going to be a pain," he grumbled to himself.
"This is going to be fun," corrected Ino.
Inoichi could feel a headache coming on.
