A/N:Another of my many one shots! I was hoping to write something for Weiss, and I came up with this. Enjoy! :)

Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY

There were nights when she would wake up in a cold sweat, her screams echoing in the entire room. Her father would rush in, and hold her tightly. "It's a bad dream, Weiss. Daddy's here. Nothing will hurt you."

But the five year old grew up, learning the harsh reality she faced. The bloodshed. Everything.

And as she grew, so did her nightmares. Each would bring the day she most feared, her own death.

The older she got, the more details It showed. Every night was the same: A nightmare, screaming, and comfort from her father. Weiss grew tired and used to the routine, but the nightmares were so real.

The heiress couldn't help but fear them.

Things took a twist when Weiss turned 8. As a celebration, Weiss' s mother took her out to buy her a dress for her birthday. The eight year old was excited. Her parents were busy most of the time with the company, and Weiss couldn't do most stuff with them. Weiss had even gotten used to stay with the maids that looked after her.

A little break from that would help, right?

It was a huge mistake. They were ambushed by the rising white fang. In order to protect the young heiress, her mother sacrificed herself, using herself as a shield for Weiss against the bullets.

When help arrived, Weiss was alone, crying at the sight of her mother's death.

It was soon followed by several nightmares. But in her mother's place, it was Weiss.

Years followed, and the nightmares got worse. Her life was constantly falling. Constantly falling.

The White Fang turned her life into constant threats. Weiss felt even more scared than ever. But she could never admit that her nightmares were scarier.

Each day, make up would have to hide those dark circles under her eyes. Coffee would leave her awake. The heiress developed a problem with sleeping. The nightmares were getting even more real than before. She refused to get sleep out of fear.

But there were nights when it got the best of her, causing her to wake up screaming. But this time, there was no comfort.

Her father grew distant. He would come home furious, and spend most of his time away from Weiss, knowing he could hurt her.

Weiss cried herself to sleep each day, knowing of the nightmares. They were so real. She couldn't stand it. And the fact that she was all alone would hurt her even more.

It was when she received her first death threat that changed everything.

Weiss realized her dreams were turning into a reality. But not the dreams she wanted. Her nightmares.

She thought her life couldn't get any more worse than it already was, the white fang proved her wrong.

White Fang. Those words brought misery into her life.

At the age of 17, Weiss was left as the head of the Schnee Dust Company.

Why? Her father was killed by the White Fang.

Now her world was shattered.

No more warm hugs from him. No more comfort.

No more.

The nightmares couldn't get any worse. Weiss would wake up with tears in her eyes. No longer screams. After all, who could hear her?

The most unexpected thing occurred.

Her life took a twist as the nightmares that had tormented her as a child and Into her practical adult hood went away all of a sudden. But the heiress never realized how she desired them.

She didn't want the pleasant dreams the old her wished for.

She wanted the dark, twisted nightmares of her dying.

Why?

What did she have left? It was all the same, her life constantly falling for the worse. Constantly falling.

And her nightmares. They brought the pleasant memory of her father.

And now Weiss realized that she always wanted her nightmares, nightmares that she feared.

Nightmares that would set her free.
