"Hello, I'm the Doctor!"
Those were the best words she had ever heard...the words that had changed her life forever...He was the best thing that had happened to her in her life, he had saved her time after time and showed her more than she knew existed! In the universe...and closer to home...
"Where to now?" Rowan grinned as he bounded around the control room, pushing buttons and pulling levers she had tried to remember what they were all for, but at times it seemed like the Doctor himself didn't even know!
"How about somewhere new?" He grinned back at her.
"New? I don't think many places are new many places have been around for centuries, millenniums before we travel there!" She laughed, showing off her wisdom as she found herself doing all the time in his presence...
"When I say new, I mean new! A newly formed planet! One that nobody has ever laid eyes on before, that we will be the first ever to see...part of history!" His eyes were all lit up with excitement for this adventure...and that just made Rowan smile.
"Well that changes things! Allons-y!" She laughed.
"Oi, that's my word!"
The journey threw them both around a fair bit, but when they got there and the Doctor opened the T.A.R.D.I.S doors for her too look out, it was worth it.
"It's beautiful!" Rowan smiled, looking out at the new planet, still burning hot, un inhabited by intelligent life as of yet, it was just beginning it's journey! "What's it called?"
"Well, it hasn't got an offical name yet...but...I suppose you'd know it as Earth!" The Doctor grinned slightly at the look on Rowan's face as he leaned casually against the doorway.
But the look on her face was nothing to the look on his face when she kissed him...
"Sorry..." She mumbled, looking back out at the Earth.
"Not...uh...not at all..." He scratched his head awkwardly and then smiled at her..."That's...yeah..."
They stood there in comfortable silence, just looking at the Earth...new and fresh and ready for life, ready for a future...it mirrored perfectly how Rowan felt when she met the Doctor.
It was perfect.
