For those who haven't read the Silmarillion, it was the prequel to every Lord of the Rings related book. Iluvatar is the J.R.R. Tolkien/Lord of the Rings God, and the Valar would be the head angels.
As Link was being transported, several thoughts went through his head. One of them was, "Where is this beast taking me?" Another was, "What did he mean by Iluvatar?"
When Link appeared in this new dimension, the first thing he noticed was that he was in a forest, and the next was that the trees were talking to one another in the language of the Deku Scrubs. "Where are we, and why are the trees talking?" Link asked the Beast.
The beast answered, "We are in Middle Earth. It was created by Iluvatar, who also created your world, despite your beliefs otherwise. Those trees are Ents. I am what would be called a Balrog of Morgoth."
"Who is Morgoth, and why are those trees talking?" Link once again asked.
"Morgoth turned on Iluvatar, and is now imprisoned. I returned to Iluvatar before the Dark King was captured, so I was granted the mission to come get you. Now that my mission is over, I am to become an Ent, and to protect you. Ents are tree-herders, they are very old and very wise," the Balrog said. As soon as these words left his mouth, the flame left his body, and he turned into an Ent, but he was bigger than all of the Ents nearby.
The Ents came towards him, but the Balrog turned Ent blocked them. "Let us see the one prophesied about," they cried.
"Not until you promise me that you will not hurt him," his new friend replied calmly.
"Fine, we won't hurt him. After all, the Valar sent us a special command not to," said an Ent that seemed to be the leader, and looked much older than the others.
"Forgive us, if we are excited to see you. You were long prophesied about. This means that the time of Sauron's destruction has come. I am Fangorn, in Elvish. I own this forest." said Fangorn.
"So, I'm supposed to save this world, too. How many prophecies are about me!" Link said.
"Well, you are supposed to protect those who will save this world. I was instructed to give you this ring. It can make things grow faster, and it can control the wind." Fangorn replied.
The entire time that Link was in Fangorn's Forest, he listened to the Ents stories. One night, the Ents let him drink water straight from their springs, and not from their cups. When he did so, he felt a strange tingling go through him, not unlike the tingling he felt when he first grabbed the Master Sword. When he looked at himself in the mirror, he learned a few things about this feeling. For one, he had once again become an adult. Another was that his guilded sword had turned into the Biggoron's sword. And finally, that his shield had disappeared entirely and was replaced by a green staff that had green diamond held by four prongs.
"What just happened?" he asked his friend.
"The prophecy is coming true. You will learn what and who you are from the other Ents," said the new Ent, ending the discussion.
As soon as Link had heard all that had happened in the history of Middle Earth, as far as the Ents knew, which was pretty much everything, he decided to leave. Altogether, he had learned that the Balrog who had brought him here, now an Ent, was named Borcar; that his name was Garwiel, he was to be a green wizard, and that he was supposed to keep a company of nine safe; also that the company had not yet been formed. He also learned that the languages here corresponded to his languages. The trees and Ents spoke in Deku Scrub, the Elves in Hylian, the Dwarves in Goron, and the men in Zora.
Garwiel left on the shoulder of Borcar. He had seen some orcs, as they were called, cut down some trees, and had seen the Ents wrath. He was happy he was on the same team.
I hope you liked it. I decided to make it about Link at the last second in Link's Change.
