"Oh, papa!" Paige squealed, gripping her father's hands which were held loosely over her eyes. "What is my surprise?"
He bent down to her height, planted a kiss on the top of her fair head and whispered an 'I love you'. Releasing his hold over her sight, he watched as her face lit up. Her dark eyes glazed over the pristine tea set before she turned and nestled herself in her father's arms.
"But it's not even my birthday, papa!"
Jefferson let his head rest against his daughters as he chuckled. "Well, then, we'll just have to call this our 'unbirthday party', won't we?"
