John looks away from the TV screen, turning his attention, briefly, to his flatmate. Said flatmate was sitting at the kitchen table, eye pressed religiously to the lens of his microscope.

"Sherlock?"

"Mmm?"

"It says on 'The One Show' that you are four times more likely to be murdered in New York than in London."

There's a short pause.

"We'd better move to New York, then," Sherlock replies, never taking his attention from his experiment.

"Sherlock?"

"Yes, John?"

"You do realise it's not good when people are murdered?"

Sherlock does look up at that, sparing John a glance.

"Not for them."
