AN: More Deathshipping. Only this time with Fem!Ryou. Why Fem!Ryou? Because it made the song/fic easier to work with. . DEAL WITH IT. :| I actually like Fem!Ryou... Though in this she doesn't say much. It's mostly Marik.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything! Not the show. Not the song (Which is Don't Take the Girl by Tim McGraw).

Marik's daddy was taking him fishing when he was eight years old. A little white haired girl came through the front gate, holding a finshing pole. His daddy looked down and smiled.

He said, "We can't leave her behind. Son I know you don't want her to go, but someday you'll change your mind."

And Marik said, "Take Seto Kaiba, take Joey Wheeler, take my best friend, Bakura. Take anbody that you want as long as she don't go. Take any boy in the world, daddy plase, don't take the girl.

"Oh, come now, Marik. Look, she wants to go." Marik's father looked over to the little girl and gestured for her to join them. "You want to come with us, don't you Ryou?" He asked the small white haired girl.

Ryou gave a small nod, "I sure do, Mr. Ishtar." She said with a smile.

"See Marik? You don't really want to leave her here alone, do you?" Marik's dad asked him.

"If I say yes, can we leave without her?" Marik said. He saw the smile on the girls face fall to a frown, and she looked like she was about to cry. Marik felt slight bit of guilt weigh on his heart, and he sighed as he gave in. "Fine. She can go."

The girl squealed in delight, and to Marik's disgust, hugged him tightly.

Same old boy. Same sweet girl. Ten years down the road. Marik held Ryou tight and kissed her lips in front of the picture show. Stranger came and pulled a gun, and grabbed her by the arm, pointing the gun at her head.

The stranger said, "If you do what I tell you to do, there wont be any harm."

And Marik said, "Take my money, take my wallet, take my credit cards." He said, handing his wallet and all of his money. "Here's the watch that my grandpa gave me, here's the keys to my car. Mister give it whirl." Marik handed the other iteams to the stranger. "But please, don't take the girl."

The stranger grunted, and pushed Ryou back over to Marik, taking everything Marik had given him. "Heh, thanks dude." He smirked, and left the theater.

"Ryou, are you alright?" Marik asked, as he held her tight.

"I'm fine." Ryou assured Marik.

Same old boy. Same sweet girl. Five years down the road. There's gonna be a little one, and she says it's time to go.

The doctor says, "The baby's fine, but you'll have to leave. His momma's fading fast, but we're going to do everything we can to keep her alive." The doctor left Marik there alone in the hallway.

Marik felt a tear slide down his cheek. He fell to his knees, and there he prayed, "Take the very breath you gave me. Take the heart from my chest. I'll gladly take her place if you let me, make this my last request. Take me out of this world. Ra, please, don't take the girl."
