Great. Just great. Where the hell is that bloody prick?
Stumbling over an overgrown root, Hermione fell face first towards the ground. Not even bothering to get up, she laid there for a while before she felt something poking into her left leg. Grumbling darkly, she sat up and turned around to see a piece of twig sticking out of the ground. Getting up she kicked at the overgrown root before picking up a rock and tossing it at the trees above her. When she heard an 'ouch', she smirked to herself and tossed another one.
"Hey! Quit it!"
"I will once your get your ass down here."
Sighing, Cedric jumped down from the branch he was on and landed behind her. She jumped at least a foot in the air before tripping over the root again. Catching her before she fell, he peered down at her face.
"Boo."
Of course he had only said it as a joke so he didn't really expect the slap coming at him. Although he was really surprise when it did because technically she was upside down and it bloody did well hurt enough that he accidentally let go and let her fall.
"You slapped me," he said in disbelief.
"Yeah well you're the one who thinks it's funny to jump out of trees," she retorted.
"Ah but you like it when I jump out of trees. It's what attracted you to me in the summer before the Triwizard Tournament," he gloated.
"Prat."
Looking around them, she can only see spots of light filtering through the congealed like leaves of the trees. Frowning she turned around to see Cedric climb up another tree. Looking at her muggle compass, she has no idea in which direction they were suppose to be going, only that north seemed to be the answer in the last three hours.
"We're lost aren't we," it came out more as a statement of fact than a question.
"No we're not," he answered in an amused voice.
"Then tell me where the hell we are."
"In Yorkshire Dales."
"And to think I could be at home reading right now," Hermione grumbled.
"You do realize that I found three books in your bag don't you?" Cedric announced before jumping down.
"Why are we here again?"
"Because this is your early birthday present. And besides it's not like I can see you when you're at school."
"They're called Hogsmeade weekends for a reason."
Throwing his hands into the air, Cedric tapped her on the shoulder before picking her up and throwing her over his shoulders. Making sure she couldn't kick his privates, he made the trek downhill while she yelled. It wasn't until he found their spot that he placed her onto the ground. Cedric found it amusing when she stared at the sight before them. Her mouth made a small 'o' as he pulled out a blanket and set it down. Pulling her onto his lap they sat down together to enjoy the sunset. Of course he had to toss her bag at least a few feet away from them to prevent Hermione from getting any books out.
