Ok for all of you that read this before reading this part, and are like what the hell, who are these people, they represent the following:

Anyways onto the story!
Chapter 1
David was suddenly awakened to the laughing of others. Sabrina, the teacher at the school in Iselia, Village of Oracles, had apparently asked him how The Great war had ended and he had muttered something about Ashley's hair. He suddenly turned red, causing even more laughs.
"Ok class, now lets get on with our work" said Sabrina.
There was a sudden flash and every one gasped.
"It's the oracle" said Markus.
"Ashley should go the Temple" said David.
"I'll go ahead, all of you stay hear and study" said Sabrina.
So Sabrina ran off and all the kids started to goof off. David headed strait for the door.
"Where do you think your going" said Markus.
"To check out the temple of course" replied David.
"But my sister will get mad" said Markus.
"Who cares, we won't get caught, besides, Ashley will probably want to go" David said.
"Hey, Ashley, do you want to check out the Temple" said David.
"Do you?" Ashley replied.
"Well, yeah" said David, casually.
"Then I do too" said Ashley.
"Ok fine, the three of us will go, but don't get caught" said Markus.
So the three exited the school, to immediately run into a zombie!
"What the hell is that" said Markus.
"It's a zombie, you have to fight monsters as part of the Chosen's trial" said Ashley.
"So we just kill it" said David.
"Yeah" said Ashley.
"Ok let's do it" said Markus.
So the three ran towards the zombie. Markus blasted it with his Fireball magic. He was still a weak mage, but eager to learn. David ran ahead and hacked at it with his two Wooden Blades. Wood isn't the greatest weapon, but David was just a beginner. Ashley threw her Chakrams, which are like metal flying disks. Markus finally killed the zombie with a final Fireball.
"Ok, let's get to the Temple" said Ashley.
The three finally made it to the Temple. It was chaos. The Desians attacked and kill a lot of people. Suddenly, a group of Desians came out of the Temple. "Are you the Chosen of Mana?" they asked Ashley.
"We won't let you have her" said David.
Suddenly right before a fight was going to break out, a red haired man jumped ahead of David and stabbed the lead Desian right between the ribs.
"Get out of the way" he said gruffly to the Desians.
They turned and ran right away from the Temple.
"Who are you" asked David.
"My name is Chris, and I am a mercenary intending to help the Chosen on her quest to regenerate the world".
"That would be me" chirped Ashley.
"Well, you must accept the oracle, so let's proceed" said Chris.
Well, David didn't want to say it, but he didn't like the look of this guy. He didn't seem like any mercenary David had seen. Besides, he had an Exsphere, just like himself. Exspheres were devices that brought out the strongest in a fighter. It's strange for a mercenary to have one. David got his because his mother left it for him.
"You coming?" remarked Markus.
"Yeah I was just thinking, lets go" said David.
So the four entered the Martel Temple, not knowing what awaited them inside and how drastically it would affect their lives.
