I know, I promised some (okay, a lot of) people the second chapter of "The Anniversary Party", and I promised myself more chapters of "Taylor's Diary", but this came to me.
Disclaimer: I don't own Disney, "High School Musical", Ashley Tisdale, or "Lord of the Rings". They're owned by people, Disney, herself, and Peter Jackson, respectively.
Is this where it starts? Chasing me during a playful fight, joking about stabbing me, punching me when I interrupt him? Is this where an abusive childhood starts?
When he was an alcoholic, he didn't acknowledge me very much, and he always missed my concerts. Now, he's a "recovering" alcoholic, which I don't really believe, and it's pretty much the same. When he was drunk, he would cook. Man, he was a fabulous cook! Now I always make dinner, which I don't mind, but it's weird. When he was drunk, he would watch "Lord of the Rings." He didn't notice, but I would usually watch with him and refill his beers. Now, he sleeps. All the time. He's never tried to get to know me, and I still don't think he wants to.
Now, he'll hurt our feelings and try to hug us. I usually back away until he can't reach me, and then run to my room. He always yells "Go to your room," as if he's serious. When we do, he just sits there. When we don't, he just sits there. He might as well still be drinking. At least then he'll have an excuse for his actions, because he acts pretty much the same.
My whole life, I've been scared and intimidated by him, but what I've always been afraid of is him crossing the line from a scary to an abusive father. And, now I'm afraid he'll become drunk again. But, what I'm most afraid of is no one being there to save me if he crosses those lines.
My name is Sharpay Evans, I'm fourteen, and this is my story.
I know it's short, but I'm not sure if it's good. So, if you review, please tell me if I should continue this, because I know it sucks.
Dedication: My dad. I'm not putting down why, just…my dad.
Doo, doo, doo! Review, review, review! (There's a tune, so ask me if you want it.) The song really knows what it's talking about, so listen to it!
