I was in a poetry mood last night _ I don't even know why...all I knew was that I was typing poetry and forced my brother to listen to it :) Um...well this random piece is about Skull Kid. There's a poem short story, and another poem. Enjoy
Walking through the forest with a song in my head,
a lovely little ditty I will play forever till I'm dead.
The song is a mystery. It comes and it goes.
I try to hum it all day long to keep it with me.
When I lose the song, I shudder from my head to my toes.
I backtrack to the forest where the song will be.
Fast paced and rhythmic,
This song holds me in.
It keeps me in the forest
preventing me from leaving ever again.
Playing in the forest with a song in my head,
a lovely little ditty I will play until I'm dead.
The others cannot hear it.
This song has chosen me.
I cannot live without it.
It has infused with me.
It is part of my soul,
Memorizing it is my goal.
It will not let me leave my home
It's okay as long as I have my song.
Living in the forest with a song inside my head,
a lovely little ditty I will play until I'm dead.
If I try to leave my home,
The song will go away
I cannot bear to lose it.
My only choice is to stay.
Though the forest is a prison with a discarded key,
I love the misty forest filled with lush grass and trees.
My song is my only comfort.
The song is my only hope.
The song is stuck in my head,
Locked up with everything else.
Trapped in a forest with a song in my head conflicting with strife,
a lovely little ditty I will play until death meets my life.
Skull Kid heard the song everyday in his head. In this new world as a Skull Kid, it was the only thing that made him feel safe. It was a catchy little song with a catchy little tune. It played through the forest only heard by his ears. The others didn't hear it. They were oblivious, he thought. Then again, the song only wanted Skull Kid. He was the only one who listened. The song became his friend playing wherever he could be found, but when he ventured towards the exit, the song would gradually die down. The thought of losing the song- captured his attention, Skull Kid always went back excited to hear the song again. The song kept him in the forest forever. Beckoning him when he was far, rejoicing when he was near. Skull Kid forever wandering through the forest unable to leave because of a simple, little fear. He wanted the song to echo in his ears. The song was a part of him now. He could not bear to lose it. His happy home was a prison trapping him forevermore. The only thing he could do was listen, listen to the song until he died. Listen to the song forever in his immortal life.
Listen to the song.
It beckons. It calls!
Come listen, come play.
Listen to it all day.
You know you want to hear it.
You cannot stay away.
Come into the forest.
Come closer.
Come stay.
Listen to the song.
It beckons. It calls.
You cannot stay away.
Walk through the brush.
Enter and welcome!
Listen to the song.
You have answered the beckon.
I hope you liked it. I can't say I did. The last one is my favorite. Which one did you like the best? Tell me in your reviews puh-lease!
Extra:
