Today was the of the glorious day of the Granger- Snape wedding. Everything was going smoothly as a magical wedding can go when placed in a muggle church. The bride's parents were in attendance while the groom's were six feet under in the ground. The bride's family and adopted magical family, the Wealseys, were seated on the right side of the chapel in a sea of varying copper and chocolate locks. However, the left side of the chapel was filled sparsely with his colleagues, associates and former fellow cronies that escaped Azkaban.
The most shocking fact of the wedding who was selected as maid of honor and best man. Draco Malfoy was goaded into the position by his father who did not want to stand next Severus Snape in public until his hair recovered from the war(It had been a year and half and his long locks had yet to return to the luscious length they should be). Despite being male, Harry Potter found himself being pressed into duty as Hermione's maid of honor. Hermione was not able to force Ginny nor Luna into the role. Thus, exhausting the list of close female friends that could of taken that spot.
Throughout the preparations for the big day, Draco and Harry met up frequently to discuss the details of the wedding which were left to the two younger men. Severus and Hermione did not take interest of the wedding planning at all because they were very busy with their joint research that had the potential to save several lives. Because of this general apathy towards their wedding, Harry and Draco took over the wedding and made it their vision of a dream wedding instead of the couple's dream wedding.
'I love you.' Harry Potter exclaimed out loud while looking at Draco with teary eyes. However, to the audience it seemed that this confession was aimed at Severus. Which caused Ron to faint but not before he muttered dramatically, "first my girlfriend, now my best mate.. ". That incident caused a uproar in the bride's section halting the heartfelt vows that Severus spent weeks writing and editing for this specific moment in time only to be ruined by 'dunderheads'.
When the excitement was finally whining down when Ron returned to consciousness due to some smelling salts that the Drs. Granger had on them. Draco had the audacity to reply softly but still loud enough that everyone could hear him with, 'Me too.'
