There Was a Time...
There was a time when,
I wished that I could fly,
Run free like a horse,
And see thru the wolf's eyes.
I often desired that,
I could save more endangered animals,
But, I never imagined it would be humans,
Skunks, kangaroos, ants and poodles.
There was a time in my life when I yearned for the day...
That even though I knew what happened to the poor animals, I could cope,
That I didn't think so much about the death of animals,
And that even if a bumblebee died, I wouldn't cry... That I truly hope.
But these days...
I hope that every day of my life would go very plainly,
And I truly wish that I could cry even if a bug died,
And I hope that someday my life would be ordinary.
