one: sacrificial

It wasn't that Nigel didn't love the Kids Next Door with every fiber of his being, only that he sometimes wished he didn't personally have such a part to play in it. It was fun to play the hero, to be the leader, but sometimes Nigel would realize that he had one eye on the door in the middle of a party, or that he wasn't even at the party at all.

The point of the KND was to protect the world from adults so that kids everywhere could have fun in it, but wasn't he a kid as well?
