"You're all talk and no fight, Uh-vatar. Bring it on."

Her eyes narrowed at his arrogant smirk. Too obvious. If she hadn't fallen for that the first time, what made him think it would work now? She especially wasn't going to break the rules and hit him in a marketplace full of curious eyes. A thought came to her. She closed the distance between them, her arms swinging loosely and her hands bunched into fists.

His grin widened and he spread his arms, daring her to punch him as hard as she could. Instead she stretched up and dropped a single sweet kiss on his cheek. Before he could respond, she had already turned, sauntering away as if she hadn't a care in the world. She could feel his eyes burning into the back of her neck but maintained her casual walk until she turned the corner into a small side street. She pressed against the wall, and after a few short seconds she hear the patter of shoes on pavement. He turned the corner and stopped as he saw her triumphant grin.

"Bring it on, pretty boy."
