There could be little doubt really. I don't know why it's taken me this long to realize it. I mean, it's fairly obvious isn't it? Brad Majors was not my father.

Today, as a young woman of seventeen, I was slightly taller than my so called "father". I have a mass of curly hair that's darker than the night sky. My eyes were a light sea foam green and for some reason unknown to me, I have a perfect balance in heels. Who were they trying to kid? I have a British accent, for God's sake. Yeah, doesn't sound too weird? Uh huh, I've lived in America for my ENTIRE life.

Oh sorry, it's kinda wrong of me to dump my problems on you...at least not from the beginning.

Kay, so my name is Elaine Majors...okay so I don't even know if I should keep calling myself that. My twin brother (Oh, just wait for the story on that one...) Lucas and I were born a minute apart exactly to Brad and Janet Majors. Yes, they purposely named us that because both mean 'light'. Mom told us that we were the light in their marriage.

So, my brother Luke as I call him, looks exactly like my dad and mom. I mean a perfect replica. Yeah, I know that fraternal twins don't look exactly alike but we should at least look similar! So, I have my mom's smile apparently and her nose. But I mean come on! How is this even possible? How can a woman carry twins with two different fathers? It's like she was abducted by aliens.

I was also plagued by nightmares for as long as I could remember...okay scratch that. Not so much nightmares as just really strange dreams...

***Flashback***

"Mummy, what's a..." The three year old little girl searched her mind for the word from her dream.

"What is it Elaine?"

"What's a 'transvestor'?" The little girl asked in her cute little British accent, her father had hoped she had picked it up from a television show.

"A what?" Janet asked, quite frightened. Brad ran in behind her.

"The man looked like a lady...he was pretty mummy..." Elaine said smiling wildly. "He said he was a sweet transvestor...and he talked like me!"

"Brad!" Janet said in shock and fell into his arms. He looked shocked at his daughter and sighed.

"I'll tell you when you're older...come on Laney, let's get you into bed for the night." Janet picked her up and put her in the pink bed next to her brother's blue bed where Lucas slept peacefully.

***End Flashback***

They always had this strange man, and no this is not a Freddy kind of strange man. He was tall and wore dazzling heels. He wore a tight bustier and a garter belt and that alone intrigued me. He had the same dark curly hair as me and the same mischievous eyes and wore a TON of make up. He wasn't always singing about being a transvestite.

Sometimes he sang about making this muscle man...or the worse one for me was hearing him sing a beautiful song about going back to Transylvania or wherever and this creepy guy kills him! Sometimes I'm in the dream, most times I'm not. My mom and dad are always in the dream, but I've never told them that. When I'm in the dream I always reach my hand towards him, and he sees me, but he's dead before he can take it.

I really wish he could take my hand.
