You are gone from my reach
You have felt this pain I never new
I walk on the beach
Waiting for a sign
I'm waiting for your touch
I'm waiting for a sign
I don't feel much
My power has died
Knowing you're troubled
Knowing I stumbled
I can't understand
Why you need to stand
I can't find my way
I have no wings to fly
They say this is a way
For me to run away
But I lead a nation
Something so dear to me
But I long for you
Your touch and feel
The last of you I've seen
Was a kiss and a ring
Then came a time when you told me
"Do something now"
But I wait for you
My tears have turned to rain
The fire has burned
With the lives of the innocent
For now we fight
To protect and fight
For freedom
And peace
