Jamie sat at the kitchen table eating Captain Crunch as her dad read over the morning paper, "Daddy," she said as he set down the paper to look at his young daughter.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Can I have a sleepover?" she asked through a mouthful of cereal.

"Sure, who do you want to come over? Maybe we can call and see if they can come over tonight."

"Talia," she exclaimed.

"Talia? Hun I thought you meant a sleepover with one of your friends."

"Talia is my friend she said so," she replied.

"Alright I'll call her and ask, but honey she could be busy you know that right?"

"Yeah I know."

Antonio dialed Talia's number wondering what she would say when he asked her to sleepover it was odd considering what they had just been through. But he hoped she would say yes because he would get to spend the whole night with her.

"Hello," Talia answered.

"Hey it's Antonio."

"Oh hey, she replied with a smile. What's up?"

"Jamie wanted to know if you're busy tonight."

"Jamie wanted to know or you did?" she said with a laugh.

"No it was Jamie she asked this morning if she could have a sleepover and she asked for you."

"Really?"

"So what do ya say?"

"Sure, I'd love to."

"Alright, I'll let her know and I guess I'll see you tonight."

That night Talia showed up with her sleeping bag in hand, Jamie answered the door, "Hi Talia."

"Hey Jamie, how are you?"

"Good."

"Come on in Talia," Antonio said coming up behind his daughter.

"Thanks," she replied as she entered and shut the door behind her.

"You can just put your stuff anywhere," Antonio said.

Placing her bags on the floor next to the couch she knelt down in front of Jamie, "So what do you have planned first Jamie?" she asked with a smile for the little girl.

After setting up their sleeping bags on the floor in the living room Jamie brought out a few board games for them to play after a few hours of playing games they decided to order pizza for dinner.
"What do you like on your pizza?" Antonio asked.

"Mushrooms, pepperoni, green peppers," she replied.

"Sounds good, I'll order."

While Antonio went into the other room to phone Jamie walked over to where Talia was sitting on the couch, "Talia will you do my hair?"

"Sure, if you go get your brush."

When Jamie returned with her brush and ponytail elastics, Talia had her sit on her lap as she put her hair in braids. "You're next." Jamie said as she looked up at Talia with a smile.

When Antonio came back into the room he saw Talia sitting on the floor with Jamie brushing her hair, "Doing each others hair?" he said with a smile. Talia was amazing with his daughter and he knew that his daughter loved her.

"Yeah daddy look Talia braided mine, isn't it pretty?"

"Yeah it's beautiful," he said taking a seat next to her on the couch as he looked down at Talia.

After stuffing their faces with pizza Jamie hopped down from her chair, "Alright it's time to change into our pajamas," she said as she grabbed Talia's hand. After changing Jamie and Talia went back into the living room and waited for Antonio to finish changing. Talia stifled a laugh when Antonio walked into the room in his dinosaur pajamas.

"Nice pajamas."

"I can say the same about you," he replied noticing her pink Betty Boop pajamas.

They all lay down on the floor to watch some movies before Jamie's bedtime, after the second movie Jamie was out like a light when Talia looked beside her at the small child wrapped in her sleeping bag.

"Is she asleep?" Antonio asked.

"Fast asleep," she replied turning to look at him.

"Did you have fun tonight?"

"Yeah it was great spending time with Jamie….and you," she said with a smile.

"I enjoy spending time with you too and I'm so glad that you didn't leave town."

"Me too," she said leaning in to kiss him.
