Does she kiss like I used to kiss you?

Silently Trudy made her way to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, the café was empty except for a lonely person in the farthest corner. She walked towards the person and stopped when she came face to face with him.

"Jack! What are you doing here," she whispered and gave him a weekly smile. Jack looked up at Trudy.

"Ellie kicked me out," he sounded tiered Trudy thought like he had given up now. Deciding that the water could wait she pulled out a chair and sat down next to him.

"What happened," she asked and yet again she gave him a smile. Jack looked at her thoughtful like he was trying to decide if he should tell her.

"We had another fight," he said and went silent again. "She says that I don't love her and that I don't care about her anymore." Jack was surprised by his own words he hadn't meant to tell Trudy but the words had just come. Trudy looked at him thoughtful he and Ellie had been fighting a lot lately, and she wasn't really surprised.

"What are you gonna do?" she asked him gently afraid to upset him as he looked like was about to start to cry.

"I don't know," he said and looked at her. To be honest he didn't love her anymore he was in love with someone else, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her. He was the one who was ruining everything. It had never felt the same after Luke and he wasn't sure that she ever had loved him after that. A cough from Trudy made him snap out of his thoughts.

"I'm sorry, my mind just wandered away," he said. "I think I'm gonna go back to bed," he got up from the chair and moved against the exit.

"Are you sure you gonna be alright?" she asked. Jack turned around and met her eyes. It was her she had always been there for him when he and Ellie was fighting she had always known what to say to make him feel better and to work things out. He moved closer towards her, and se moved closer to him he didn't know when the feelings had started to grow but there were there now. The shared a simple kiss nothing special but it felt so right. A noise behind them made him turned around. He could see the back of Ellie as she ran away.

"Ellie," he cried out after her, he gave Trudy a smile and she nodded before he ran after her. He found her in their room.

"Ellie," he said softly.

"I don't wanna talk," Ellie said and turned away from here.

"Please Ellie!"

"There's nothing more to say Jack," she said and met his eyes, there was tears swimming in her eyes. "It's over. He was actually glad that it was over.

"But tell me does she kiss like I used to kiss you?" she said and looked at her.

"Did you ever love me?" he asked.

"No," she answered simply and looked at him.

"There you have your answer," he said and walked out of the room. He made his way to the café when he realized that it was empty he continued to Trudy's room.

"Can I talk to you," he asked, Trudy nodded and followed him outside not to wake Brady up.

"Ellie and I broke up," he said.

"Because of what happened, it was a mistake," she said, the words hit him like a rock.

"It wasn't a mistake for me, I love you Trudy, and I was hoping that you feel the same," he said look in to her eyes.

"I love you too Jack," Trudy said and the shared there second kiss and it was even better than the first kiss.
