A/U ;; So I had this project for English; I had to write a love poem. Yep, that's right, me, Queen of I-Don't-Believe-In-Love-Outside-Of-Books. So I wrote two, just to see which one was better, and because this is me, both had sad endings.
I haven't turned this project in yet, but I need REAL criticism and reviews before I do so [on Friday]. I'm a firm believer that people are biased if they know or see you, then look at the poem, so I figure, why not post it here? Its based off my two favorite X-Men characters anyway, and fits in with my current writings.
So here we are, two poems from Gambit's point of view, about the death of his beloved. Lost Love. Yeah, a repeat title, I know, but hey, what can I say? I'm horrid at titles.
They say Love is Peaceful,
They say Love is Joy.
They say that with Love,
Happiness is guaranteed.
I call them Liars.
In Life, in Love,
There are no Happy Endings.
There is no Joy,
There is no Peace.
Love ends in Pain,
And Brings but Misery.
Even left unsaid,
Love will Haunt you,
Destroy you.
I love Her, All of Her.
Her love, Her hate.
Her darkness, Her light.
Her dark Humor,Her slow Smile.
But yet I said Nothing,
Fool that I be.
Now She lays Dying,
Her blood around Her,
Her life wasted away,
And all I Wish,
All I want,
Is to hold Her,
To give Her those three words,
Those words She needed,
Those Three Little Words.
I love you
