a/n: I just recently saw the movie Repo and decided that it was pretty much the best thing ever. (But then again, I'm highly impressionable...) This is just a little ficlet to get the juices flowing again and hopefully unstop the mighty dam that is writers block. It may or may not turn into a full story, but I can promise there will be more in this category from me in the future.

Disclaimer: I do not own Repo! The Genetic Opera.

~Aquamarine~

Black eyes stared up into nothingness, unaware of the man that leered above them or the empty glass vial clutched in his right hand.

Graverobber studied these eyes because the rest of the corpse wasn't much to look at. A slip of a skirt that might once have been white and lacy was all that remained on her decaying body. Blood pooled on the concrete around her head, matted in her hair and staining her porcelain skin an obscene brown colour.

With steady hands, he gripped the vial and placed the needle at her nose, never taking his eyes off hers as he pushed, feeling the bone give way as the needle pierced into her skull with a sickening crack. Pulsating liquid filled the vial, enclosing the corpse and the grave robber in an orb of aquamarine light. Her eyes sparkled like marbles, an illusion of life that could never have been achieved in reality.

He gently ran a finger over her ashen lips before closing her eyes with the palm of his hand and readjusting her wig so it covered the biggest of the gashes in her forehead. Her blood smeared red across his skin and he wiped it off onto his pant leg with a grimace.

Standing, Graverobber slipped the vial into his pocket, snuffing out the light and leaving the two in the semi-darkness of early evening. He took a step back and sighed.

"I'm sorry, kid."
