It was a year after their long journey, early January. Lloyd felt light hearted this morning. The snow was frighteningly cold, but that would stop him from getting up. Today was the day Colette came back from a trip. She had only been gone a week, but it felt like months, even years, to Lloyd.

Why? Because before she left, Lloyd finally gained up the courage to tell her how he felt, tell her how deeply in love with her she was. And not only that, but she had accepted his confession. The whole thought of that moment brought a pink tint to Lloyd face. He smiled as he pulled on his coat and scarf. The scarf that she had made him, his own personal treasure. She had made it for him before she left, worried that he would get sick while she was gone. Lloyd smiled at this sweet gesture. Lloyd hurried downstairs, past his father Dirk.

"And where might you be goin'?" His father asked, surprised at his sudden energy. Normally Lloyd refused to even wake up in the morning, so this was odd.

Lloyd turned around and smiled at his father, pointing his thumb at the scarf around his neck. "Colette's coming back today."

"Oi, you better hurry then" his father chuckled.

Lloyd dashed out the door and nearly tripped over Noishe.

"N-Noishe! What are you doing right there?" he said catching his breath. The dog like creature made a whimper like noise, making Lloyd grin. "Did you want to see her too, boy?" He said ruffling Noishe's fur. Lloyd laughed as the creatures tail began to wag. "Let's go then!" they said, dashing off together in the snow.

Panting, Lloyd finally made it to the city square, where Colette has promised to meet him. Standing up straight, he tried to fix his hair, with not so much luck. It sure seemed to have a mind of its own.

Catching his breath, Lloyd looked around. There were tons of people walking around, it was hard to see anything. But out of the corner of his eye he saw a familiar wave of hair in the crowd.

"Colette!" He called, waving to her.

She turned around, her hair swaying as she did so. Her face brightened incredibly at the sight of him. She looked positively stunning. She had on an adorable winter dress, with fluff at the sleeves, and her shining gold hair was let down, yet had a gold clip in the back, which held some hair loosely. Honestly, she looked like a princess. As she ran over to him she nearly tripped, and Lloyd ran over to help, but she regained her balance and jumped into his arms.

"Lloyd, I missed you" she said, snuggling her head into his chest.

"I missed you too" he said, wrapping his arms around her waist and nuzzling the top of her head.

She looked up at him, her eyes glittering, and gave him a slightly pouty look.

Lloyd smiled and leaned in, kissing her softly. Her hand laid on his chest as she returned the kiss. Lloyd ran a hand through her hair, and caressed her cheek. They seemed to have no intention of letting go, that is until Noishe pushed Lloyd and made them both fall over in the snow.

"Noishe!" Lloyd yelled playfully, his face red as Colette giggled. They had fallen together, Colette first, Lloyd right after, practically on top of her. Lloyd felt awkward in this position and sat up shaking his fist at the creature. Colette followed suit, and sat up with him. The two began to laugh, simply enjoying each other's company.

Lloyd promised to himself, at that moment, that he wouldn't let anything take these precious moments from him. These are the moments he never wants to forget.
