The Goodbye Gossip Girl

I sat quietly at the breakfast table across from Serena. " I'm sorry, I was really overstepping my boundaries when I put you in jail, I was just so worried about you and that you would get yourself in over your head," I said cautiously to Serena. " It's ok mom I get that you were just trying to help," Serena said flatly while looking down at her barely touched breakfast. I knew something else was bothering her, but I didn't want to pry so I got up slowly and let her stew alone.

" Serena, I didn't really know what you'd make of prom," Dan whisper yelled into his phone while pacing his room. He was clearly talking about what I hoped wasn't true as I went to knock on his bedroom door. Instead I did what I knew I shouldn't and wait a few minutes extra. " I love you too, but do you honestly think this is the time to tell everyone, graduation," Dan said. My heart sank as I quickly moved away from the door before he got a chance to see me. I knew it was time to go get Lily back.

" Well Rufus this comes as quite a surprise considering what you told me last night," I said in a tone of mock confidence. As I said this I saw him glance down and see my hand shaking, he knew me all too well. " Come on Lily, I'm sorry I was tired last night and I made a mistake, but I have enough guts to come and admit I was wrong," He said exactly what I was hoping he would. He grabbed me around the waist and locked me in a passionate embrace just as Serena left her room. I didn't notice though because I was too busy enjoying the perfection of the moment.

" Chuck just tell me you love me," Blair said with pleading eyes just as Dan walked in with Serena. They closed the door before they could interrupt things. " Well that's a shocker," Dan said sarcastically. Serena laughed, " Yeah I know, but Dan do you honestly think we can work things out even with our parents?" " We've had this conversation a sickening amount of times," Dan said, " Let's just go for it." " Okay," Serena replied submissively.

" What are you doing," an old lady screeched with an unpleasant odor eluding from her skin. " Making out," Rufus said as I tried to suppress my laughter. " Yes could you tell us when they call Dan Humphrey and Serena Van Der Woodsen," I said. "Excuse me, but do you know where Lily Rhodes and Rufus Humphrey might be?" a young exquisitely handsome man asked one of the ushers. " I think you might be talking about Lily Bass, and they're over there," the usher pointed out cringing at the rudeness of the sight. " Thank you," he said in a composed yet shaky voice. " Excuse me," he said after clearing his throat loudly. " Can I help you," I said in a dazed voice. " Yes thank you are you Rufus and Lily," he asked in an awkward tone. " Yes we are," I said trying to straighten up and figure out who this could possibly be. " I'm Scott, your son," he said.
