Prologue
There used to be a civilization of people who worshiped quite a peculiar pantheon of gods. The majority of their gods were sentient animals, most notably a family of hedgehogs. There was Gyro, the god of death, Zero, the god of wrath, and Draco, the god of dragons.
One day, Zero got tired of being left in the shadows of his insensitive brothers. He betrayed his fellow gods, casting Gyro down to the realm of his followers, locking Draco up in one of his many celestial prisons, and enslaving all of the other gods for use as servants, spies, and concubines. Of course, none of this was known to their ignorant worshipers, who simply assumed that their gods would never change.
Centuries passed, and one day their group of worshipers came across a group of strange men who arrived in a large ship, with white skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. Over time, this new group slaughtered the gods' followers in a massive genocide until none were left; save it were a few who defected to the side of this other group.
With none left to worship these gods, Zero was driven to madness. If no mortals would worship him, then he would make his fellow gods worship them! At this time, the other gods had enough. They all banded together to kill Zero, and then turned against themselves. Soon, they all had died, the only ones remaining being Draco, still locked up in a secret prison, the location of which nobody knew, and Ooze, the god of darkness, who was tasked with guarding Draco for the rest of eternity.
Eventually, the tales of these gods faded away, and everybody forgot about them.
…
The year is 1994. The day is June 18th. The location is Edmonton Hospital. Today, something special is happening.
The doctor slowly walks into the room, a man and his wife, with big smiles on their faces, waiting to see what would happen. The doctor walks up to them, handing them a baby, with green fur, and lovely red eyes.
"Congratulations," the doctor says, "It's a girl!"
Delighted, the now mother takes the baby from the doctor's arm, cradling it in hers, as the doctor slowly walks from the room. The father nearly squeals with delight as he looms over her.
"So," he says, "what do you wants to name her?"
"Kirlia," the mother says, "Kirlia sounds good."
