Danny snuggled into bed next to his wife, exhausted.
"She finally asleep?" Lindsay asked, sleepily.
"Yeah, finally."
Lindsay chuckled. "Guess you regret that night."
Danny was dumbstruck at her words. He rolled her over and kissed her. "Not for a second."
"Come on Danny. I know you never thought you would be up at 3:30 in the morning trying to get your daughter to go back to sleep."
"You're right. I didn't picture myself as a husband or father but I don't regret it. I love you and our daughter. My girls."
"I was scared to tell you I was pregnant. I was afraid of you rejecting me because of unfilled grief over Ruben."
"I was scared when you told me. Afraid I was going to mess up and I don't want to disappoint you."
"Danny, you disappoint me when you don't talk to me."
"I know that now."
"Really Danny, because sometimes I don't think so. You are a very closed hearted person and when I was just your girlfriend I understood and accepted it but now that I'm your wife you can't do that. I want to be included in... to help you."
"I know baby and I'm changing, believe me."
"I know you are and I love it. I love you, Danny." Lindsay gave him a chaste kiss.
When the kiss ended Danny began to grin.
"What?" Lindsay smiled, trying to get him to talk.
"I just realized something."
"What?"
"I'm a husband and father. I have a family now."
"Yes, you do. You know what that means, right?"
"What?"
"No more pulling away. If you have a problem you talk to me. Danny, I take those vows very serious and I hope you do to."
"I do, very much. I love you."
"I love you, too."
They shared a long passionate kiss.
"Now will you turn around so I can get some sleep? I need my beauty sleep."
Lindsay smacked him.
"Ouch, ok ok, you need your beauty sleep."
"You know Danny if I wasn't so tired I'd kick your butt."
"I'm sure you would baby."
