A small from my DBZ story. A one shot story about what might've happened during one Day off with Light.
"You two should take the day off" said Chief Yagami. "We have no reason" said L. would you rather Light go alone. "I think I'll go" said L "I still don't trust Light 100% so I'll have to go" L thought to himself. "What do you wanna do L? "How about a snack Light." When they got to the coffee shop. Light caught a glance of Misa. He pulled L into the alley. "We want to avoid her in order to truly enjoy their day" "as soon as L begins to trust me I can leave the fear behind. "So Light how is school going?" asked L. "Not nearly as fun since you left" Light said jokingly. While sitting in the coffee shop Light noticed a strange thing about L usually he stared at light but he was looking around. "So Light what would you say to a tennis rematch" asked L curiously "I'd say I hope you're ready to lose." Light and L walked over to the university. They changed into their clothes. "I'll get the balls" Light said "you head to the court" after L left he pulled out his phone and got on the news site. He quickly scribbled down the names of two bank robbers and ran to the court. "What took you so long light" L asked I was just checking the weather. The game got intense but in the end Light won by a single point.
Meanwhile a the Kira task force office chief Yagami we just got a report of two bank robbers killed mysteriously by a heart attack not 20 minutes after the robbing took place. Said Matsuda. "should we call L" asked Watari phone in hand. "no we should resolve this and tell him when he gets back." Said the Chief "if he gets mad I'll take the blame". "Very good sir" said Watari.
"Good game light" L said sounding tired after the game. Light nodded his head in agreement. "Shall we get some lunch?" asked Light. After walking around they found a nice place where light got some ham while L got some Cheesecake. After lunch the two sat outside in a park. "we have three hours light till sunset Light" said L
"what shall we do" Light thought then suddenly yelled I got it. "what's one thing as a child you never got to do." L thought about it. "I've always wanted to try video games." Light took him to the only arcade in town he knew of. His clothes would fit right in. light walked to the counter when he got back he handed L 30 dollars' worth of quarters. "Have a blast L" after two tries at Street Fighter IV L got the high score in arcade mode.
When the quarters finally ran out they started to make their way back. "did you have fun today L" Light asked. "very much" said L "thank you light. "You know you're like a brother too me sometimes." With that L started running showing Light that he wanted a race. L getting there first.
