Utopia

Parker walked down the street, watching the children playing outside with a frightened look on her face. The girls chalked the same thing at the same time and the boys threw the ball the same way at the same time. Everything was in a synchronized pattern and it made her eyes and ears hurt. She felt Sophie put her hand on her shoulder and force her to turn into one of the driveways. It was part of a con but Parker didn't want to go there.

"Hi!" The four children said in unison.

Parker and Sophie just nodded in recognition. They walked up to the door and Sophie rang the doorbell. When the door opened they were met with the fake face of Jenny Carper. There was a very creepy (and fake) grin on her face and her hair looked like it was stuck in its place with hairspray. She wore a green and yellow floral dress and had huge gold earrings on. Parker also noticed she had blue feathery high heels on. The woman scared the life out of Parker. The woman looked so perfect yet so fake. Everything on this street was so perfectly in sync. None of it seemed real to her.

In fact none of it seemed real in general.

As a young girl Parker never saw the happy cheerful life of the world. The foster system was brutal and she saw a lot of bad things by the time she was just 8 years old. She had been beaten and stolen from. In her little girl mind she always thought that everyone had it off so much better then her. They all led perfect lives with perfect parents and perfect friends with perfect things. Sometimes she would hear about how amazing Hollywood was or how great Paris or London was. She wished she could see the glitz and glamour that she heard about but she knew that would never happen; she was too trapped. This place however seemed hardly like glitz and glamour. It looked like all the people were happy but she could tell by the look in their eyes that they were more trapped then she ever was.
