Author's Note: Hi there. This was the first story I ever posted to FF. I was about 14 or so. And I took all my stories (including this one) down when I started my big revision in 2011. I thought about just leaving this one down, honestly. I was pretty sure it was terrible. Instead, I eventually decided to revise it. This is the old version; you can view the new one through my profile at the top. Nothing has been changed except the addition of this A/N. (Even though I really wanted to.) Have fun.

Ikkara sighed. This was not going well at all. They were so... random. No reasonable explanation presented itself to this particular spot.

"Look here. See this black dwarf? Right there? Why would the Humans pass so many ships through here? It's pointless."She pointed to the nebula, lit in a false-color image.

"Perhaps some religious significance..."

She considered. What if it is the infamous Sol? Ne*, couldn't be...

"Yes! Of course! I have it now, it has to be... Come on, we need to see the Ambassador right away!"

LINEBREAK_

"Well? What do you think, Ambassador?"

The encounter suit did not move for a moment. Then, without warning, it whirled surprisingly quickly. She hadn't known it could move that fast. The 'head' looked at her, apparently calm. But what lies under the surface?

"We have always been here."

And with that cryptic sentence, Ambassador Sheridan left.

*Ne- similar in meaning to our nah, it here expresses disbelief.
