A/N: Hello all, this is Mishka. First story up on Fanfic! Whooo -about 5 bits of confetti flutter boredly down- >.

Disclaimer: If the lawyers can even figure out who this fic is about, they'll need to know that I admit I don't own them.

Right, so I wrote this because...I was bored u.u And I'd read way too many RyouxBakura fanfics that day . If you'd like me to continue with it, please review and TELL ME SO! If I get no encouragement, nothing will happen. So...enjoy!

A sudden flash of light glimmered off teeth bared in a carnal grin. Lightning flashed again and the figure was outlined in a split-second halo. The boy panicked, glancing wildly from side to side, searching for a place to hide, to run; but he knew there would be none. He was trapped in the dark alleyway; he felt the cool, grimy stone wall at his back and knew there would be no escape this time. The figure began moving toward him, stalking confidently, calmly, but somehow managing to inject its every move with menace.

Tears fell from the teen's eyes now, streaming down his face and contrasting sharply, hotly, with the ice-cold rain that had already soaked him through and continued to hit any patch of bared flesh like so many thousands of white-hot needles. This…thing, this apparition had haunted his mind, his dreams - no, nightmares - for God knew how long. Always, always it was this dark, shadowy figure. First in the distance, then closer and closer; he tried to run but his body simply wouldn't move - he was frozen, every fiber of his being screaming for release, and the thing finally reached him; those blood-red orbs sparkling with malice and the razor-sharp canines glimmering before -

A scream tore itself from the teen's throat as the figure advanced; it was within arm's reach now. The cry was drowned as another flash of energy ripped from the sky and struck the ground, the thunder that followed not a second later sounding like the insane roar of some huge feral beast. The boy tried to get through the wall, pressing his back harder into it and scrabbling furiously with his now-bloodied fingernails, anything to get him farther away from the figure before him. It stretched out a hand; the pale, spidery fingers almost glowing in the half-light of the midnight storm. The boy turned his face away, eyes closed hard, waiting for the inevitable sharp pain of the thing's touch…but it never came.

Instead, he felt a light whisper across his face; a gentle caress by fingers that weren't quite there. Both hands touched him now, one on each side of his face; then he gasped sharply as one trailed down his neck, across his chest, and laid to rest curled around his waist. His heart was on overdrive, his breath was erratic, fast and slow, deep and shallow as the icy, whispery being pulled him closer. The wall was no longer at his back and he longed for its support; his legs no longer seemed able to hold him up. His gaze trailed across the face of his captor, taking in the deep crimson eyes, the spiking shocks of ghostly white hair, the carnivorous-looking mouth that loomed ever closer to his own…and promptly fainted dead away.

Oooh, suspenseful. I'm not so happy with how this turned out; it seems kind of choppy in the middle. But you're your own worst critic, right? It'd be nice to have someone else critique it, so I can see if that's true...-throws cookies at random people- Review please!
