"Yuki! Yuki! Rise and shine, it's our one year anniversary today!" squealed Shuichi, as he bounced on top of a slumbering Yuki.
"Get lost, you damn brat! The sun hasn't even risen yet!" spat Yuki, turning over onto his side.
"That's because it's one o' clock in the morning, silly! I was going to wake you at midnight, but then I decided to give you another hour."
"Exactly, it's one o' clock in the morning, so head back to bed!"
"I can't sleep now, I'm miles too excited! It's our one year anniversary, Yuki! We need to plan what we're going to do today! Should we go to the theme park? No, how about we go to the movies instead?"
"I've got an idea, why don't we spend the whole day in bed?"
Upon hearing this, Shuichi froze in shock and his face turned scarlet. Was Yuki suggesting what he thought he was suggesting?
Unfortunately for him, the answer was no, as Yuki face palmed. "That's not what I meant."
"I was about to say, you're eager, Yuki!" giggled Shuichi.
Yuki shook his head in disbelief, but couldn't prevent a smirk from forming on his face, due to how adorable Shuichi's giggling was. He himself was astonished that the two had been in a romantic relationship for a year…how on Earth had he been able to live with him for that long a period of time? It truly befuddled him, but none-the-less, he was perfectly satisfied. Although Shuichi could be aggravating at times, he was good company. No matter how immature or stubborn he was, deep down Yuki still loved him.
"Seriously, though…do you have anything in mind?" asked Shuichi.
Without a second of hesitation, Yuki came up with an answer, "I'd like to visit New York."
Unsurprised at his decision, Shuichi beamed and started dancing joyfully around the room.
"New York! New York! New York! Yes, that's a brilliant idea! Why not, eh? Yes, let's go to New York today! Woohoo!"
"There. Now, for the last time, GO BACK TO BED." Yuki lay on his stomach and closed his eyes.
Frowning, Shuichi nodded slowly and exited the room. However, the second his back met the sofa, his smile returned.
"Going to New York with Yuki? This is a dream come true! Oh, I just can't wait! Well…I definitely can't sleep, now."
Meanwhile, Yuki was deep in thought about what they would do once they arrived in New York.
"This day should be very special for the two of us…but besides shopping and having a meal, what can I do to make today memorable?"
