A note from the doink:
Yes, this is the promised Sana/Hayama fluff short story you've all been waiting for (well, maybe not all, but a few). doinkies loves fluff, especially fluff with one of her favorite couples in it. One of those couples is Sana/Hayama. So, doinkies decided, even though there are many, many S/H fics in this section, to do one of her own with a angsty twist, however it has the usual fluffy ending.

Hayama Akito's cheeks were burning.
The reason? Kurata Sana, yes, Kurata Sana, had asked him to go see a movie with her.
She had spoken in her usual Sana-ish way, asking him playfully, "Ne, Hayama, do you want to go see "My Room" today at 2? Rei-kun will pick you up..."
Hayama had responded "Yes," without realizing the subtext of it...
[If a girl asks you to go see a movie, it means...she wants to go on a date with you...] Hayama thought to himself. [Especially if it's some sappy chick flick like "My Room"...but if Sana wants to go...and I said yes...then I have to go...]
Then he realized something.
If Sana had really asked him out on a date...
Then it meant...
"She loves...me?"

In all of his 12 years he had spent on this earth, Hayama had never really been loved. All his life, it seemed, ever since his mother died, his own family had called him a "demon child" and even implied that he had killed his mother, even though Hayama, his father, and his sister knew that his mother had just not been strong enough to survive the birth.
That had all changed when he met Sana...she was the only one who didn't torment or tease him. She had at first, but as she saw a different side of Hayama...her view of him changed.
So had Hayama's view of Sana. At first, in his view, she was just one of those annoying, egotistical celebrity snobs, who thought they were better than everyone else because they happened to be famous. But as he got to know her better, she became a friend to him...and maybe a girlfriend?
Sana was the only one who ever made Hayama happy...and he had to fulfill his promise.

Rei-kun's car pulled up, and as the window rolled down, Sana yelled "Oi, Hayama! Get down here! You're going to miss the movie!"
Hayama hurriedly got inside the car, with a worried look in his eyes and a sweatdrop running down his face.
"Hayama...what's wrong?" Sana asked.
At that moment, he burst into tears.
"Sana-chan...I was thinking about my life so far, and I found that you are the only one who really does love me...someone who really does care about me...and I admit it...I LIKE YOU, SANA-CHAN!!!!" Hayama wiped his tears on the handkerchief Rei-kun had given him.
Sana turned to Hayama, staring at him.
[if Hayama says "I like you..." he really means "I love you..."]
"Hayama...I had no idea that that was how much you cared about me..." Sana hugged him close. "And...I love you too...that was why I asked you to go see the movie..."
At that moment, Hayama and Sana held each other tight in a warm embrace.
"Ah, love..." Rei-kun thought. "I'm glad Sana-chan has a boyfriend her own age now..."
