Never-Ending Cycle of "Insert Something Bad Here"
What if Vongola Nono's sons hadn't been killed? Obviously, Tsuna wouldn't be involved in the mafia at all…right? RIGHT? …PLEASESAYYESPLEASESAYYES. Alternate Universe.
A/N: Sorry to break it to you, Tsuna, but you're not getting a break from the mafia. No matter what universe you're in. At least, according to me and hopefully everyone else – yeah, love you too. Now stop freaking out, start Man-ning up, and let's get this story started.
I'm trying to do something about how I write quality more than quantity, and Mary-Sue Tsuna pissed me off and this is more of a test-run than anything, so I apologize about short chapters. Also: what is with and not transferring html styles and section breaks? Seriously!
Introduction
It would be rude not to introduce him, so let's begin with that.
His name was Sawada Tsunayoshi, but in all honesty, nobody wanted to call him by that kind of name in this era. Ergo, "Tsuna" was 15 years old, with big-ass chunk of brown hair and brown eyes. His colouring came from his mother's side of the family, and he looked way younger than his age. He lived in a house with his mother, Sawada Nana, who enjoyed cooking almost everything she could get her hands on. His dad was dead. Or something. Tsuna couldn't really remember much about him except for the fact that his old man had been an absolute weirdo nut-case.
Tsuna was a one of a kind, honest boy who knew his limitations and who accepted his destiny as the most pathetic person of the world. He didn't have to be a rocket scientist to know that he wasn't meant for any of the grand old stuff or even big new stuff either. He was a wimp, his grades were horrendous, he couldn't talk to girls, he let everyone walk over him, he got beat up and threatened on a regular basis, and his coordination god-awful. Nobody liked him, and nobody really talked to him if they didn't have to. Simply put, he was a big loser who didn't want to do anything new or amazing. He liked his small-town, pathetic, little wormhole life, thank you very much.
Well, he must've actually put some effort in his years at Namimori Middle School. That or the presence of Hibari Kyouya and the Disciplinary Committee did a good job making him want out. Either way, like the fellow students in his year, Tsuna moved from that stage of his schooling and was thrust into a world of exams. It was an incredulous surprise – yet he moved onto high school.
And this is where our story starts.
