Quick tiny, little fic about Alex's thoughts of the groups 'friendships'.

Oh and I OBVIOUSLY DON'T OWN ALPHA FORCE, CHRIS RYAN, HOWEVER, DOES.

Worth more than a penny

"you are so dead hex!" amber shrieked.

Hex chortled and hacked into her phone.

"how do you know my pass code?" amber paused and queried.

" I, umm..."

"spit it out code boy" she berated

"I saw you typing it in on the flight and I, well I remembered it."

"of course you did, now give it back before I have to practice some Cheong style martial arts on you!"

Alex rolled his eyes and reclined in his shaded seat under the pool canopy. They were in Argentina on Paulo's ranch for school break, which for Alex meant three uninterrupted weeks of fine tuning their survival skills and training to stay at the peak of their fitness levels. For the others it meant flirting and showing off by the pool all day.

'jeez, if they stopped flirting we could actually train.' he thought to himself.

'I wonder when hex will tell her...' he pondered, 'it's gotta be soon surely, Amber's blind if she can't read the signs.'

"signs!?" yelled Li. "what signs?"

Alex cringed, he hadn't said that out loud had he?

"Li, it's obvious, I am the most handsome and attractive man you have ever laid eyes on." Paulo teased.

'phew, that was a close one, I would be dead meat if any of them knew what I thought.'

Li poked her tongue at him, "oh yeah? What signs?"

"well..." Paulo began

"the way you always blush when he comes near." interrupted amber, grinning sadistically, she nudged hex, having lost a bout of wrestling to her he had finally given her phone back, she whispered something in his ear and they both stifled laughs in their hands.

"What is it?" Li queried

"we were just thinking about how much time you guys spend together." replied hex, deadpan

"no you weren't, come on, what was it?" retorted Li.

Alex smiled to himself, if everything went to plan, Paulo should be telling Li soon too. They were clueless about their affection for each other.

'at least they're not as oblivious as amber and hex'

He shifted his gaze from the horizon to watch amber and hex wrestle each other. Amber was winning and Hex didn't look to happy about it.

'I wonder if my little chat with the boys has spurred them on?' he mused. I hope Amber and Li are ready for it, dad always says that fraternising within a unit was a bad idea...'

"Hey Hombre."

Paulo walked over to his shaded spot by the pool and stood over Alex.

"penny for your thoughts?"

"they are worth more than a penny mate."
