For the OTP Boot Camp with the prompt queasy, the Pairing Diversity Boot camp with the prompt nerves and Fanfic's Got Talent II's first challenge which was to write a drabble about your OTP :) Enjoy.
Katie struggled with her dark green Quidditch robes which had somehow gotten tangled around her neck. She grunted in frustration and pulled them back over her head. Charlie heard the noise from the bathroom and came into their room and crossed his arms in amusement as he watched her frantically shake out the garment.
"What is the trouble, sweetness?" he asked coming over to wrap his arms around her.
"The qualifying match for the World Cup is today and I can't even put these bloody robes on, that's the trouble! I'm a mess!"
She swatted his hands away and flopped face down on the bed. She took in a few deep breaths in an attempt to soothe the queasy feeling in her stomach. She had never been so nervous for a Quidditch match. What was wrong with her?
Charlie sat down on the edge of the bed and started pulling on his socks. "You are not a mess."
Katie snorted in disagreement. Charlie rolled his eyes and pulled on her shoulder so that she was lying face up. "You are not a mess," he continued. "Nerves are what make this exciting. It's why you like to do this professionally. You are a phenomenal Chaser and you fly best under pressure anyway. You have nothing to worry about. Besides…" he leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I love you no matter what." She grinned in spite of herself. "Now, suck it up and get dressed," he said sternly and went to go make them coffee before heading to the match.
A few minutes later she appeared in the doorway with her Quidditch robes on and broomstick in hand. She took the travel mug of coffee he offered her and led the way out the door. Any evidence of nervousness had disappeared.
"Nice pep talk," she said over her shoulder.
"You're welcome."
