It's so quiet. It's dark. I can't breath.
"Breath normally, love." a voice says. "It's all normal air." the voice says again.
You breath normally. You hear the voice laugh.
"Did you think I was right? You're going to die, you stupid fool!"
It hurts. Your head feels like it's pounding and your chest feels like it's going to explode. The voice chuckles. The voice repeats your name. Karkat...Karkat...Karka-
"Karkat! Wake up! Dad is leaving, and I know you take 30 minutes just to take a shower! Karkat! Don't make me us triggering words!" Kankri shook Karkat vigoriously.
Karkat Vantas is the boy's name. He is a 14 year old Freshman in High School. He lives with his Dad, Saxon, and his older brother, Kankri who is 17. His mother divorced and left the family after Karkat was born. Karkat's family is of German descent.
"I don't want to go to school." Karkat rolled over in his bed and covered his head in his sheets.
"Gamzee is coming over to pick you up."
Karkat is dating a boy named Gamzee Makara.
"Gamzee?" Karkat raised his eyebrow.
"Are you still in bed? Hurry up and take a shower, then eat breakfast. That boyfriend of us, Karkat, is coming in 20 minutes. He just called." Saxon adjusted his tie. "I have to get to work early, so I already made breakfast. It's on the table. If it gets cold, just heat it in the microwave." Saxon gave Kankri and Karkat a kiss on the forehead before heading out the door.
"So, are you gonna get ready or not." Kankri stood there staring at Karkat, who was in his boxers.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Karkat pushed Kankri out and took a shower and got ready.
