Title: Confessions to a Panda

China has been troubled lately. He's experiencing a problem everyone has encountered at some point in their lives. A problem that reduces your appetite, sleep, focus, and energy. It's life-changing and painful.

China is suffering from a crisis called love. He is in love with his neighbor, Russia. Russia has invaded all of China's thoughts. He is all China thinks about nowadays. China hasn't told anyone. Not yet, at least.

I must tell someone, aru. I think I'll explode if I keep these feelings to myself any longer, thought China, But who can I trust, aru? China thought of all the people and creatures he knew. That's it! I'll tell Panda, aru.

China went to look for Panda. After a short search, China found who he was looking for.

"Panda!" exclaimed China as he ran towards Panda and hugged him. "I'm so glad to see you, aru!"

Panda hugged China back. They released from their embrace. China said, "Hey, Panda. Can you please keep a secret, aru?" Panda nodded silently. China sighed and simply said, "I'm in love, aru."

Panda looked at him, wanting details. China continued, "I'm in love with Russia, aru." Panda was surprised. He had no idea China even liked Russia. He wanted to know more.

"I know he is scary and always tries to sneak up on me from behind, but he has a soft side and he's really cute sometimes, aru. He's my closest friend and I don't want to lose him, aru," explained China. He became frustrated. "Aiyah! I just don't know what to do, aru! What do you think Panda?"

China buried his face in his hands. He didn't see that Panda grabbed his head and took it off, revealing the face of the one he loves. Russia crouched down a little and put his arm around the shorter Asian. China turned his head and was face-to-face with a smiling Russia.

China's face immediately turned red. "R-Russia! What are you doing here, aru?" questioned China in shock.

Russia ignored his question and kissed China. At first, China froze in complete shock. His heart seemed to have stopped. He couldn't believe what was happening. China slowly wrapped his arms around Russia's neck and kissed him back.

After what seemed like an eternity, Russia pulled away slowly and said, "I love you too, China."

China couldn't help but smile. Russia wrapped an arm around China's waist and the latter did the same. China closed his eyes and rested his head on Russia's shoulder. He felt the panda costume's fur on his hand. The fur feels nice, aru! It feels so real, aru! It's like if it really is Panda!

After that last thought, China's eyes shot open. He looked at Russia and cautiously called his name.

Russia looked at him, still smiling, and said, "Da?"

"What happened to Panda, aru?"

Those words made Russia's smile disappear immediately. He looked down at his costume and back to China. "Well…"

China was horrified. "Aiyah!"

Russia winced a little. "I love you?" he responded.

China sighed and planted a kiss on Russia's cheek. He gave Russia a smile and said, "I love you too, aru."
