It was second year when Ron first had feelings for Hermione. It was when she took the Polyjuice potion that turned her into a cat. She came out of the stall, and he thought to himself why is she crying? She's still beautiful. And then he gasped, thinking What? Hermione's not beautiful. She's annoying. Right? Right? But it wasn't the same for him after that. After she got paralyzed by the basilisk, he was in a funk. She kept appearing in his dreams, and they kept getting married over and over again. He was thrilled when she came back and was face.

That summer, he kept thinking about her when he was in Egypt. But he figured that that was just because they were friends. After all, every once in a while, he would think about Harry. But she kept coming back into his head. He got frustrated after a while. He didn't understand why he kept thinking about her. That was when he got really mad at her. Crookshanks "eating" Scabbers, combined with his feelings for her just made him so annoyed with her. But their fighting made him depressed. He loved making up with her, and he loved watching her punch Draco.

In Fourth year, he met Fleur. It was never a crush; he just thought she was beautiful. Like a celebrity. He asked her to the Yule Ball, because he thought it would be fun. He thought Fleur was pretty, and liked ignoring his feelings for Hermione. But he was furious when she went with Krum. He wanted to yell, scream, and beat him up. But eventually, when Krum had to leave, he learned to be okay with him again.

Fifth year was different. After she was with Krum, he realized he really did like her. He wasn't ready to ask her on a date (he was too nervous,) but he started agreeing with her more, and picking less fights with her. He decided that he would ask her out during sixth year.

In sixth year, he finally got up the courage to ask Hermione out. He and Harry were walking back to the Common Room, where he was going to ask her to be his girlfriend. That was when they bumped into Dean and Ginny in the corridor. That definitely frustrated him, but he was still excited to talk to Hermione. But that was when he found out about her and Krum. He had assumed that they had just gone to the Yule Ball together; but he supposed now that they had kissed at the Yule Ball, and maybe when before Krum left, too. And now he was furious with her. He was just so mad at her. The next day was a Quidditch game. He played great, even without the Felix Felicis. He was surprised that Harry hadn't put the lucky potion into his pumpkin juice, but he now had a logical reason to be mad at Hermione. And he was furious.

He marched into the Common room, and bumped into Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil. Pavarti walked away. "Ron, Ron!" Lavender blurted, "Congratulations on the game! You were spectacular!" Ron was so annoyed with Hermione kissing Krum, that he just kissed Lavender. Right then and there. She kissed him back, and he was about to pull away when Hermione walked in. He just kept kissing her. When Hermione and Harry went into the classroom, he convinced Lavender to come into the classroom too. Hermione was furious, which even made up for the yellow birds. He was really upset when she and McLaggen went to the party together, but eventually he wasn't so mad at Hermione anymore, and he was more annoyed with Lavender. After they broke up, he and Hermione were friends again.

When they kissed, he vowed to himself that he would never let her go. And he loved that they got to be together for the rest of his life.
