Author's note: Okay, so this was written in order to get my mind off the five page paper on Johannes Kepler I should be writing. It was inspired by a VERY fun afternoon spent with my boyfriend and his pirate costume, lol. For once, all the characters in this story are mine.
I was sprawled out with my boyfriend Josh on his living room floor, half a pizza sitting in front of us. We were about midway through our Pirates of the Caribbean movie marathon, and the half-bottle of Mountain Dew Josh had drank finally caught up with him. "Brb, nature doth call, luv." He said over his shoulder in his best Jack Sparrow voice as he took off for the bathroom.
I paused the movie, crawled up onto the couch and closed my eyes. Almost three straight hours of staring at a screen was making my eyes tired, and the floor wasn't exactly the softest place in the world. I heard footsteps coming my way, and I smiled, keeping my eyes closed. "Hey you." I murmered as I felt his lips touch mine, his gotee tickling my skin. When he pulled away, I opened my eyes and gave out a little shriek. "Wait! You're not Josh! Who the hell are you?"
There stood a very handsome pirate with shoulder-length black hair and ice blue eyes, making a very unconvincing unhappy face at me. "Why, I'm hurt, Beth. How could you not know me?"
The truth is, I did know who he was, but my mind was refusing to admit to what I was seeing. "I'm sorry… Jonas… I just wasn't expecting you."
He smirked that trademark Sparrow grin. "And that's just how I wanted it." He knelt down on the edge of the couch and kissed me again, this time wrapping his arms around me to pull me up against him. I didn't resist; how often do you actually get to make out with your own OC?
A thought crossed my mind, and I pushed him away. "But what about Grace?"
Jonas just shrugged and smiled. "She's your character, you think of something to do with her. But who is she really, anyway?" Oh my, I had just been accused of writing a self-insert by my own character! But when he kissed me again and we both tumbled to the floor, I decided I really didn't care.
Some time later, I was lying very contentedly on the floor in Jonas' arms, staring at the ceiling. I looked over at him, let out a big sigh, and giggled. "Wow…"
He smirked back at me, readjusting his clothes. "The feeling is very much mutual, luv."
I tipped my head back and closed my eyes, then heard his voice again. "Beth… Beth…"
I smiled, eyes still closed. "What, Jonas?"
"Wake up, Beth."
I opened my eyes, and saw Josh leaning over me. "What the…?"
He frowned at little at me. "You must've fallen asleep. And who is Jonas?"
"Ummm…. That's a long story…"
