This is my first fic so, yeah.
The day had started pretty much like any other for Applebloom. She had eaten breakfast, put her bow in, and nearly walked out the door before she remembered.
"AJ, ain't auntie Honeycrisp coming here today?"
"Why, yeah, Applebloom. Our cousin is visiting from wherever she's teaching nowadays."
"Wait! Ah have a great idea! Ah gotta tell the girls. Teachin' cutie marks!"
Applejack sighed as her little sister raced to school, her saddlebags nearly flying off of her back. She had some chores to do before Honeycrisp got to Sweet Apple Acres.
Applebloom tapped her hooves in anticipation. It was always a real treat when family came to town. She looked back on the times she had spent with Babs and smiled. Her thoughts were interrupted by Miss Cherilee's voice. The sound nearly gave Applebloom a heart attack.
"Applebloom, "she asked, "would you like to share whatever you were daydreaming about? Or would you rather stop the embarrassment of a certain colt in this room?"
After the giggles subsided, Applebloom replied," Ah'm sorry, Miss Cherilee. I guess I was wrapped up in thinkin' about mah auntie comin' for a visit. Ah'm just so excited!" Miss Cherilee nodded and continued her lesson. Every minute seemed like an hour to Applebloom, and she was sick and tired of waiting. Finally, the school bell rang. Finally! Applebloom thought.
"Wow," she heard a certain filly say, "What a lame excuse. Who's THAT excited for their "auntie' to visit? Applebloom ah-bviously has a crush on a real loser of a colt. I feel so sorry for him, whoever he is."
"Just leave her alone, Diamond Tiara," Scootaloo said, "Applebloom, we know you're telling the truth." Sweetie Belle joined in, "Everypony knows that the Apples love their family." Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon trotted away disgusted. They seemed defeated, but Applebloom could have sworn somepony muttered, "Loser," under their breath.
Applebloom raced home as fast as her hooves would carry her. As she burst through the door, she was enveloped in a hug.
"Whoa, there, youngster. What've y'all been up tah lately? How are the crusaders?" said the pony with a slightly ginger mane, a tarnished gold colored coat, a cutie mark that looked like a golden apple, and curious blue eyes.
"Auntie Honeycisp! Ah've been so excited to see ya again!" yelled Applebloom.
"Now, gals," said AJ, "we can talk over an early supper."
Yay! Please read and review.
